The Moruya Golf Club is hosting South Coast Open this Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The Open is the biggest golf event for 2022 on the South Coast.
Kicking off the weekend will be a Pro Am event on Saturday where amateurs will play with professionals competing for a large prize pool.
The NSW Open Qualifier (The South Coast Open) will be held over two days, Sunday and Monday where the players will compete for a prize pool of $50,000 and the top
three place getters qualify for entry into the NSW Open to be held at Concord Golf Club from March 17.
Moruya Golf Club is excited to have representation from up and coming juniors PJ Grant, Bailey Pearson-Perryman and Tom Heffernan.
Moruya Club Juniors will be joined by Club champion Gavin Fitzgerald and resident Golf Professional Andrew Booth, competing on home turf for a spot in the NSW Open.
The five locals will be competing against some of the best players in Australia, such as Grace Kim, Jordan Zunic, Deyen Lawson, Andre Stolz and Guy Wall to name a few.
Spectators are welcome to attend and follow these players around the course.
The Club says the event will be great for the region, bringing much needed tourism to the area.
